1. What Yard Deals owns

Unless stated otherwise, Yard Deals and its operators own or control:

• The website design, layout, UI components, and visual branding (including logos and wordmarks)
• Source code, scripts, APIs, admin tools, and marketplace software that power yarddeals.ca
• Original editorial content we publish (for example blog guides written for Yard Deals)
• Trademarks and trade dress associated with the Yard Deals name and look

Copying, scraping for republication, reverse-engineering for a competing clone, or selling our code or design as your own product is not allowed without a written licence from us.

2. What sellers and buyers own

Photos, titles, and descriptions you upload remain your responsibility. By posting a listing you grant Yard Deals a licence to display that content on the Platform so other users can browse and contact you. You must only upload content you have the right to use. Do not post stolen photos or counterfeit brand materials.

3. Code theft and unauthorized cloning

Without prior written permission, you may not:

• Copy, fork, or redistribute Yard Deals source code or substantial portions of it
• Reproduce our UI, branding, or distinctive page layouts to run a look-alike marketplace
• Use automated tools to harvest our proprietary content or structure for commercial reuse
• Remove copyright, trademark, or attribution notices from materials we publish

We may investigate suspected infringement, remove content, suspend accounts, and pursue civil remedies under Canadian copyright and related laws where appropriate.

4. Fair use and linking

You may link to public Yard Deals pages. Short quotations for review or commentary may be allowed under applicable fair dealing rules — credit Yard Deals and link to the original page when practical. That does not include republishing full articles, cloning the product, or reusing our logo as your own brand.

5. Report misuse

If you believe someone copied Yard Deals code, branding, or content without permission — or that a listing infringes your rights — email yarddeals.ca@gmail.com with URLs and a short description. We review reports in good faith.
